They scheduled a late appointment so I didn't have to take much time off work, and agreed to have tech call me when he was on the way. The technician arrived, diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly, and then stayed long enough to ensure that the system was working correctly. Part (but not labor) was covered under warranty. The labor charge was not unfair, but it still stings a little to have to pay for someone to replace a part (a second time) that is warrantied. That's on the manufacturer, though, not the installer.
